Trump Claims that Israel Has accepted the Terms of a 60-day Ceasefire in Gaza

According to US President Donald Trump, Israel has consented to the “necessary conditions” to finalise a 60-day truce in Gaza. Trump stated in a post on Truth Social that “we will work with all parties to end the War” as part of the proposed agreement, although he did not specify the terms.

“This last proposal will be delivered by the Qataris and Egyptians, who have put in a great deal of effort to assist bring about peace. Trump added, “I hope Hamas accepts this deal because it will only get worse and not better.”

After Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing almost 1,200 people, Israel began a military operation in Gaza. Since then, Gaza’s health ministry, which Hamas governs, has reported at least 56,647 deaths.

Trump made the statement before of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which is set for next week. The US president has stated that he will be “very firm” during the meeting.

On Tuesday, the US president expressed his belief that Netanyahu want to put a stop to the fighting in Gaza. He want to. He wants to, I can tell. Next week, I believe we’ll have an agreement,” Trump continued.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff were scheduled to meet with Israel’s Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer in Washington on Tuesday.
