According to Iranian state-affiliated media, the US has responded to Iran’s most recent peace initiative. According to the Tasnim news agency, a spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry said the response, sent through Pakistan, was now being examined.
The US has not yet formally acknowledged that it has responded to Tehran. But according to reports, President Donald Trump told Israel’s Kan News on Sunday that he didn’t agree with the concept.
According to Iranian state media, Tehran’s 14-point plan called for Washington to stop its naval blockade of Iranian ports, remove its troops from areas close to Iran’s borders, and put a halt to all conflicts, including Israel’s offensive in Lebanon.
Additionally, it demanded that the two nations come to an agreement within 30 days. The suggestion, according to Iranian state media, called on the two warring parties to concentrate on “ending the war” rather than prolonging the existing ceasefire.
In a post on Truth Social late on Saturday, Trump made reference to the plan, saying, “They have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years. In an interview with reporters that same day in Palm Beach, Florida, he stated that he had not yet thoroughly reviewed the plan.
