NASA’s upcoming human mission, SpaceX human-9, scheduled to depart from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, has been postponed by two days. For a five-month mission, Dragon is scheduled to transport cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov of Roscosmos and astronaut Nick Hague of NASA to the International Space Station (ISS).
Because it will also be used to retrieve seasoned astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams from the International Space Station, this mission is crucial for both NASA and SpaceX. A Boeing Starliner carried the two astronauts to the space station. Due to a number of technological issues, this was recently sent down to Earth empty, possibly endangering the astronauts’ lives if they had returned in it.
Additionally, this is the first human spaceflight mission to take off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Tropical Storm Helene’s unfavourable impact on weather conditions at the launch site on Thursday is the reason for the delay.
