The UAE and the UK Strengthen their Cooperation to Stop illegal Financial Flows

In Abu Dhabi, UAE Minister of State Ahmed Al Sayegh met with UK Minister of State for Security Dan Jarvis MP to talk about the UAE-UK collaboration to combat illicit money flows. Senior representatives from both countries met to discuss important areas of cooperation, such as financial security, anti-money laundering measures, and growing vulnerabilities in the global financial system.

In order to combat financial crimes, both sides emphasized their common commitment to advancing openness, bolstering regulatory frameworks, and maintaining international norms during the talks. Collaborative efforts and information sharing were emphasised in creating a safe and robust financial system.

Dr. Abdelhakim Shibli, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s Minister of Finance, and Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, the Minister of State for Financial Affairs, met in the Ministry’s office in Dubai in October 2024.

The main goal of the meeting was to investigate methods to improve collaboration between the two fraternal countries in the financial sector and other areas of shared interest. Strong familial relations between the UAE and Jordan were emphasized by Al Hussaini, who also highlighted the decades-long cooperation in the social, cultural, and economic spheres.In addition to applauding the robust financial and economic ties between the UAE and Jordan, Dr. Shibli stated his desire to expand finance sector cooperation to benefit both countries together.
