The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed its unshakable commitment to promoting international solidarity and humanitarian cooperation through a variety of programs and initiatives internationally.

In 2024, the UAE took a major role in global humanitarian efforts, launching a number of programs. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan established the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Initiative, with Dhs20 billion set aside for humanitarian efforts in the world’s most needy areas. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has inaugurated the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, which honors mothers by establishing a Dhs1 billion endowment fund to promote the education and training of millions of people worldwide.

Reaching the Last Mile Initiative, a portfolio of global health projects funded by President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed’s generosity, has pledged Dhs55 million to the Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE).

The UAE has initiated Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, an urgent immunization campaign in the Gaza Strip, to safeguard nearly 640,000 youngsters from the threat of polio. The UAE also provided humanitarian, medical, and water infrastructure supplies to Gaza, benefiting over one million people in the region.

In Lebanon, President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed oversaw a $100 million emergency aid package and launched the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign. The UAE also provided $30 million to displaced Lebanese citizens in Syria.
