ADNOC Logistics & Services Plc (ADNOC L&S), the global energy maritime logistics company, has unveiled the UAE’s first Remotely Operated Landing Craft Vessels at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week 2025.
Developed in collaboration with SeaOwl, the 60-meter autonomous vessel marks a significant advancement in maritime innovation. Equipped with advanced AI and satellite-linked control systems, the vessel can be operated remotely from ADNOC L&S’s Remote-Control Center in Mussafah. Its design aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in offshore logistics operations.
Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S, described the launch as a defining step toward the company’s digital transformation. This milestone reflects ADNOC L&S’s leadership in redefining the future of maritime logistics, he said. “By advancing AI-powered remote vessel technology, we are improving safety, cutting emissions, and enhancing cost efficiency while supporting ADNOC’s and the UAE’s Net Zero targets.
The vessel’s innovative design removes the need for onboard crew accommodation, reducing overall weight and fuel consumption while enabling continuous operation. Its AI-driven route optimization is expected to minimize CO₂ emissions by up to 30 percent compared to conventional vessels.
