Hong Kong is once again engulfed in a panda frenzy as locals vie to name the first giant panda cubs born in the territory, who are only six months old. Following a celebratory ceremony at Ocean Park, the theme park where the twins, their parents, and two other giant pandas that were brought in from mainland China last year, as well as Hong Kong leader John Lee and other officials, the competition to name the twin cubs, born on August 15, began on Saturday. The park’s website is where locals can post suggestions.

According to Lee, the names of the cubs will be revealed in the first half of this year, and the southern Chinese city currently boasts the most pandas kept in captivity outside of mainland China. The two, who are now known as the “Elder Sister” and the “Little Brother,” will meet with guests for five hours every day starting on Sunday. For 1,500 Hong Kong dollars (about $190), visitors can spend time with the cubs before the park opens, outside of usual business hours.

The female cub appeared to be more active than her male twin, according to the panda carers. While her brother enjoys exploring and playing with the plants, she enjoys scaling the enclosure’s tree and sleeping there. To differentiate it from his sister, the male cub has two purple food-coloring spots on its back.
