Abu Dhabi’s first Commercial taxi Flight to Take off

Archer Aviation Inc. inked a multi-party collaboration agreement to start commercial air taxi operations in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs.

The agreement was signed under the direction of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council to formalize cooperation between UAE and Abu Dhabi stakeholders before the first commercial air taxi trip.

Additionally, it aims to create the first vertical electric vehicle manufacturer in the Middle East and North Africa region in partnership with the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Abu Dhabi Airports (AD Airports), Falcon Aviation Services, Etihad Aviation Training, Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Global Air Navigation Services (GANS), Global.

The arrangement, which comes after an earlier deal between Archer Aviation Inc. and ADIO to speed up the commercialization of air taxis in Abu Dhabi, shows a solid alignment between top aviation corporations.

“We are happy to see prominent figures in Abu Dhabi’s aviation industry working with Archer to support the introduction of air taxis in the emirate,” stated Badr Al-Olama, Director-General of the ADIO. This collaboration strengthens the emirate’s standing as a world leader in smart and autonomous cars and represents a significant turning point in the initiatives spearheaded by Abu Dhabi’s Smart and Autonomous Systems Council to expedite smart and advanced mobility solutions.
