All 86 inmates held on rent-related charges have been released in Dubai ahead of Eid Al Fitr. The Dubai Rental Disputes Centre, with assistance from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Est, settled unresolved financial claims totalling more than Dh6.8 million.
This action is intended to lessen the misery of persons dealing with rental disputes as well as the burden on impacted families. The program aligns with the humanitarian approach of the United Arab Emirates, which is dedicated to helping those in need, improving family stability, and helping people get through financial difficulties.
This initiative is a significant boost to our efforts to provide support to the underprivileged in accordance with the spirit of both law and humanity, while ensuring the rights of all parties,” stated Judge Abdul Qader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Dubai Rental Disputes Centre. In order to improve social justice and deliver open, person-centred services, we will keep working with our partners and institutions.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, issued an order last month to free 1,518 inmates of different nationalities from Dubai’s prisons and correctional facilities ahead of Ramadan.
