Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and Arianna Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post, are supporting Thrive AI Health. This new company seeks to develop AI-powered assistant technology to encourage healthier lifestyles.

According to a press release released on Monday, Thrive AI Health, which is supported by Huffington’s mental wellness company Thrive Global and the OpenAI Startup Fund, an early-stage venture fund closely associated with OpenAI, plans to develop a “AI health coach” that will provide individualized guidance on stress management, food, exercise, sleep, and “connection.

The company’s CEO is DeCarlos Love, who oversaw fitness and health initiatives at Google’s Fitbit division, mainly on the wearable Pixel Watch. Strategic investors in Thrive AI Health include the Alice L. Walton Foundation, co-founded by Walmart’s Helen Walton, and one of the organization’s first medical partners is the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine.

The amount of money that Thrive AI Health’s backers have contributed was not immediately apparent. We have enquired and will update this post as soon as we receive a response.
