According to a statement issued by his office on Sunday, Biden, 82, was diagnosed on Friday after medical professionals found a prostate nodule. According to the statement, the former president had “increasingly urinary symptoms” and was brought in for evaluation.
The cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive, which enables efficient treatment, even if this is a more severe version of the illness, according to his office. The President is discussing treatment options with his doctors and his family.”
During his presidency, Biden’s age and health were significant issues for US voters, eventually destroying his chances of winning a second term. Biden surrendered to growing pressure to withdraw from the reelection campaign following a lacklustre showing in the first presidential debate in June 2024.
