Manas Sharma’s life has been focused on one objective for the past two years: passing the challenging exam to gain admission to an Indian medical college and pursue a career in medicine. However, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG, has been the focus of controversy this year due to claims that the test’s question paper was compromised.
Due to an investigation into the claims, the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the federal government, which administers the exam, canceled the test that was scheduled for May 3 on Tuesday. Additionally, the agency stated that a retest date will be revealed the following week. Sharma, who took the test on May 3, adds, “It just left me shocked.”I haven’t watched movies or even spent time with friends since October; instead, I’ve been studying for twelve hours every day. Sharma, who is located in Delhi, stated, “That’s what it takes to get into a good medical college.
He said that his assessment, which was based on unofficial answer keys made public by private tutoring centers following the exam, was based on his anticipated score of 615 out of 720. He said that he could have been admitted to one of India’s best medical schools with a score like that.
