The goal of the discussion was to boost the economic relationship between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in several areas, including the new economy, transportation, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, circular economy, agriculture, and industry.

A meeting was convened during Bin Touq’s attendance at the 114th Arab Economic and Social Council session. The UAE served as the council’s chair during its meeting, which was held at the League of Arab States’ General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo.

The UAE and Egypt have strong strategic and fraternal ties, demonstrated by their fruitful collaboration and partnerships across a wide range of industries, as the Minister of Economy brought forward.

Given that it is the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Egypt’s history, he emphasised that the recently signed partnership agreement between the two nations for the Ras Al Hikma development project is a critical milestone in growing economic ties and fostering mutual investment flows.

During their meeting, Bin Touq and Al Wazir discussed ways to improve cooperation on many projects involving both countries’ industrial sectors, logistics hubs, and infrastructure.

To maximize the combined capabilities and resources of the two nations to accomplish these transitions, the two ministers shared insights and knowledge on practical policies and tactics that support the shift towards circular and green economies.
