On the 29th night of Ramadan, one of the most spiritually significant evenings of the holy month, more than 4.1 million worshippers and Umrah pilgrims gathered at Makkah’s Grand Mosque for Qur’an completion (Khatm Al-Qur’an) prayers.

Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, told the Saudi Gazette that over 3.4 million worshippers gathered for Isha and Taraweeh prayers that night, while over 646,600 conducted Umrah. Furthermore, around 28,200 persons benefited from mobility carts, 135,600 received location advice services, and over 42,000 bottles of Zamzam water and 702,000 iftar meals were provided.

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque mobilised all of its resources and staff in collaboration with the appropriate authorities. Measures were taken to direct masses to designated prayer places and control the flow of attendees, including the elderly and those with impairments.

According to Saudi Gazette, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that over 3.4 million worshippers attended Isha and Taraweeh prayers that night, with over 646,600 performing Umrah.
