Healthtech Startup Sunfox, featured on Shark Tank India, raises Rs 15 Crore

Sunfox Technologies, a healthtech startup that was featured on Shark Tank India, has raised Rs 15 crore, or roughly $1.78 million, in a pre-Series A funding round.

Venture Catalysts led the round, with participation from Brew Opportunities Fund, Universal Group, RP Singhvi Group, Finvolve through the IA Growth Opportunities Fund I, and others.

The Dehradun-based startup had previously raised Rs 5 crore in funding from USAID via LetsVenture and SAMRIDH Health. Its total increase to date is Rs 20 crore with the most recent investment.

Sunfox is an R&D lab founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Saurabh Badola, Nitin Chandola, and Sabit Rawat. Its goal is to create innovative healthcare technologies for the digital age.

The company’s flagship product, Spandan, is a portable ECG gadget that runs on a smartphone and offers clinically accurate 12-lead ECG readings. Users can use Spandan to monitor their cardiac health in real time and detect heart attacks.

According to Sunfox, the gadget is being utilised by more than 30,000 people in 20 countries and is purportedly saving over 10,000 lives by detecting cardiac problems early.
