We recently had the privilege of interviewing Marwan Al Kindi, Founder & CEO of Provance Decoration & Interior Design. An Emirati entrepreneur passionate about bridging global innovation and UAE heritage through luxury design, Marwan Al Kindi has built Provance Decoration, where he led award-winning Al-integrated interior projects across the UAE, collaborating with more than 15 global designers.

We started the session by asking, “How did you get started, and what led you to where you are today?”
Marwan shared, “My journey began with an unshakable belief: that design is not just about creating beautiful spaces—it’s about transforming lives. What started as a vision rooted in passion has grown into a purpose-driven enterprise, Provance Decoration & Interior Design. I was driven by a deep desire to represent the UAE on a global stage—not just through aesthetics, but by showcasing the innovation, creativity, and excellence our country stands for. Every challenge along the way became fuel for growth, and every milestone reinforced my belief that we are just getting started.”

We further asked, “What challenges have you faced as a business leader, and how have you overcome them?”
Marwan added, “Leadership is forged in adversity. One of the biggest challenges was maintaining agility in a fast-evolving market. Shifting economic conditions, global disruptions, and client expectations all demanded not just resilience—but reinvention. We embraced technology early, built a strong internal culture, and focused relentlessly on innovation. What made the difference was our mindset: we don’t fear challenges; we welcome them as catalysts for progress.”

We also asked Marwan Al Kindi to share his view on the impact of technology, especially AI, and if there are any innovative practices he is implementing at the moment.
He mentioned, “AI is redefining what’s possible in design. At Provance, we are at the forefront of that change—leveraging AI to create immersive design experiences, intelligent space planning, and augmented reality previews that allow clients to visualize every detail before a single nail is hammered. We’re currently integrating AI-driven 3D room builders and smart fabric selectors, making customization more intuitive and personalized than ever. This isn’t the future—it’s our present, and we’re pushing the limits of what tech-enabled design can achieve.”

Interested in gathering Marwan Al Kindi’s perspective on the future growth of his industry, we posed the question, “What are your views on the future of the industry you’re associated with?”
“The interior design and construction industry is entering a new era—driven by sustainability, digitization, and user-centric innovation. The future will belong to companies that can combine artistic vision with smart functionality. In the UAE, where architecture and ambition go hand-in-hand, we’re already setting global benchmarks. At Provance, we’re proud to contribute to that narrative by embracing green materials, modular solutions, and AI-enhanced workflows. The next decade won’t just be about building spaces—it will be about building experiences.” Marwan explained.
Message To Beginners
Addressing the aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders of his field, we asked Marwan Al Kindi to share his advice on how they can make an impact in the industry.
“Lead with purpose. Don’t chase trends—build legacies. The most impactful leaders are those who dare to innovate, have the patience to learn, and the humility to grow. Surround yourself with people who challenge you to be better every day. And always remember the words of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan: ‘A country’s greatest investment lies in building generations of educated and knowledgeable youth.’ That mindset is the real foundation for success.”

We ended the session by asking, “How do you maintain a work-life balance while managing a business?”
Marwan shared, “Balance isn’t about working less—it’s about working smart and living with intention. I prioritize clarity, delegate with trust, and make time to recharge with family and community.
