Restrictions for Non-Passengers are Announced by the Airport in Dubai amid the Rush of Travel.

When Dubai International (DXB) prepares for the summer vacation travel surge from July 6 to 17, airport officials have announced some limitations for non-passengers. It’s the busiest travel season for families in the United Arab Emirates, with schools closed in July and August.

The terminals will only be accessible to passengers during peak hours, just as they were prior to the Eid Al Adha travel rush. Airport drop-off drivers were advised by authorities to have their farewells exchanged at home.

3.3 million passengers are expected to arrive and depart through DXB’s terminals between July 6 and July 17. This represents a “significant increase” in traffic for the airport. Flights out of DXB are anticipated to number 914,000 during this time.

DXB will see its peak traffic when 840,000 passengers are expected to arrive over the weekend of July 12–14. 286,000 passengers are anticipated on July 13, making it the busiest day of the year. On average, around 274,000 passengers a day will pass through the airport during peak hours.

A minimum of four hours prior to departure is recommended for Flydubai passengers, and “no earlier than three hours” before departure for those travelling with other airlines should arrive at DXB.
