On Saturday, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, who is on a working visit in the UAE. The two leaders discussed new ways to expand relations between the UAE and Montenegro, building on recent advances in strategic cooperation across important industries.

The discussions centred on strengthening economic links, increasing investment flows, and improving collaboration in fields such as renewable energy, food security, infrastructure, technology, and tourism.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Montenegrin Prime Minister and his delegation and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening ties that serve common development goals. Sheikh Mohammed expressed the UAE’s desire to collaborate with Montenegro on programs that promote innovation, sustainability, and the exchange of knowledge and skills.

The two leaders also discussed global and regional trends, emphasising the significance of concerted effort to maintain peace and stability while addressing concerns such as climate change, sustainable energy development, and global economic resilience.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the momentum in relations achieved from bilateral agreements reached between the two countries during the Prime Minister’s current visit to the UAE, which are expected to increase mutual economic growth, tourism, and investment, benefiting the people of both countries.
