In order to develop a new climate strategy and practices for 2030 and to produce the third edition of the Show Must Go On report, Vision: 2025 has started a crowdsourcing campaign. The initiative, which has the backing of Festival Republic, The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), Arts Council England, and Earth Percent, seeks to match grant funds with contributions of £50,000 from companies involved in outdoor events and festivals.
We need to take action now, before it’s too late, because the climate crisis is not something that will only happen in the future. While every event company faces different obstacles when it comes to taking climate action, as a sector we can work together to make the process simpler and more effective.
Vision: The live festival and outdoor events sector is being energised once more by 2025 to pool knowledge, data, and information in order to set benchmarks and best practices, comprehend problems and their solutions, create a 2030 vision, and formulate compelling and well-supported policy requests for the government.
