Iran’s Supreme Leader was slain in the midst of the morning, not in the middle of the night, as one might have thought. The reason for this was that the US and Israel chose to use a piece of vital intelligence that had been delivered just hours before.

They had been waiting for a chance to meet with senior Iranian officials for months, and on Saturday morning they found out that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would be in a facility in the heart of Tehran. The whereabouts of other high-ranking military and intelligence officials who were meeting simultaneously was also known to them.

The Supreme Leader’s movements had been monitored by the US and Israel for months. President Donald Trump alluded to their precise tactics in a social media tweet, but they are still under wraps. Our extremely advanced tracking systems and intelligence were too strong for him to evade. This might have been a human source reporting back, but it’s more likely that Iranian people were being tracked by technology.
