According to state chief minister (CM) Mohan Yadav, Google Cloud has suggested creating a centre of excellence and a startup hub in Madhya Pradesh.

Yadav made the remarks on Thursday, August 8, during a speech at a Bengaluru event hosted by Invest Madhya Pradesh.

During the meeting, the official press release states that chip giant NVIDIA proposed creating a plan to designate Madhya Pradesh as the “Intelligence Capital of India.” CM Yadav claims that proposals totalling almost INR 3,200 Cr were submitted to the state government during the session.

Although it is still unclear if these investments will pass, Yadav stated that these plans will support the regional economy and open up about 7,000 new job opportunities in the state.

The CM stated, “I am hopeful that with the kind of positive response that we have got, we will witness many IT companies setting up their campuses in Madhya Pradesh. Discussions were held with these companies regarding the development of information technology in Madhya Pradesh and their future plans.
