In a show of solidarity, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with European leaders in London on Monday. The Kremlin applauded America’s stern new stance against Europe, while US President Donald Trump accused Zelensky of not having read the most recent plan to stop the war.
Zelensky stated that Europeans and Americans needed to demonstrate “unity” in opposing Russian aggression and expediting an end to the crisis ahead of the negotiations in Downing Street on the “sensitive issues” of security guarantees for Ukraine and control of its eastern territories. We must make some crucial decisions because there are some issues that we cannot handle without Americans and Europe, Zelensky stated.
Zelensky stated that the negotiations had advanced and that peace offers were being finalized and will be given to the US on Tuesday while speaking aboard a plane from London to Brussels for discussions with the heads of NATO and the European Union.
There is a small step in the direction of a potential conflict end. The strategy should be ready by tomorrow, I believe. We’ll talk about it once more in the evening and transmit it to the US,” Zelensky stated.
