President Donald Trump has introduced a program that allows affluent foreigners who can pay at least $1 million (£750,000) to obtain US visas more quickly. Customers will have a “direct path to citizenship for all qualified and vetted people” with the card. AMAZING! On social media on Wednesday, Trump declared, “Our Great American Companies can finally keep their invaluable Talent.”
According to the program’s official website, the Trump Gold Card, which was first introduced earlier this year, is a US visa given to people who can prove they will provide a “substantial benefit” to the nation. According to the program’s website, the Gold Card scheme will require a $1 million charge as “evidence that the individual will substantially benefit the United States” and offers US residency in “record time.
Companies that sponsor workers must pay $2 million in addition to other costs. According to the website, a $5 million “platinum” version of the card with additional tax benefits would soon be offered. Depending on each applicant’s circumstances, additional payments to the government may be required, according to the website. Before their application is reviewed, applicants must also submit a non-refundable $15,000 processing fee.
