Gold, one of President Donald Trump’s favourite colours for the White House and his hotels, will be incorporated into the new paint job for the US presidential jet. The Air Force According to the US Air Force, as part of routine maintenance and repairs, one and other aircraft used by prominent US officials, including First Lady Melania Trump, are being repainted in shades of navy blue, deep crimson, and gold.
According to an Air Force spokesperson who talked to CBS, the colours will also be used on a brand-new, opulent 747-8i Boeing aircraft that Qatar provided to the presidential fleet. The presidential jet’s signature colours of white, blue, and robin’s egg blue have been used since John F. Kennedy was president in the 1960s.
Since his first administration, Trump has demanded that the executive fleet be updated. Trump’s original plan for a comprehensive overhaul was cancelled by his replacement, former President Joe Biden.
From the grandiose designs for a new ballroom to the more subdued placement of signage in a gold curling typeface, the new colours have already been observed on model aeroplanes at the White House, where Trump is also leaving his aesthetic mark. The presidential fleet will have the same colour scheme as the private aircraft Donald Trump flew on throughout his 2024 campaign, commonly referred to as “Trump Force One.
