According to police, US artist D4vd has been detained on suspicion of killing a teenage girl who vanished last year. A grand jury inquiry into the apparent murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were discovered in his Tesla in September, focused on the celebrity, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.
The 21-year-old is being detained without bail, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday. The case will be brought before the District Attorney’s office on Monday.
Let us be clear – actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” Burke’s attorneys stated in a statement to US media.
No criminal complaint has been filed, and no grand jury has returned an indictment in this case,” they continued. David has only been held on suspicion. Burke was detained “for the murder of Celeste Rivas,” according to an earlier statement from the police.
Since the 14-year-old’s remains were found in a Hollywood tow yard on September 8th, after authorities were notified of an unpleasant smell emanating from the car, questions have been growing. According to court records, investigators discovered her decomposing head and torso in a corpse bag in the front boot of a Tesla vehicle belonging to D4vd’s Texas address.
