Release of the Redmi 14C, Featuring a 6.88-Inch LCD Screen and MediaTek Helio G81 Chipset

The company released the Redmi 14C on Friday. The smartphone replaces the Redmi 13C, a low-cost device that was released in December 2023. The Redmi 14C, manufactured by Xiaomi’s subsidiary, has a 6.88-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 5,160mAh battery that can be charged to 18W. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, and four colour options.

The company has not yet revealed the Redmi 14C’s price, but it is purportedly available for purchase in Czechia for CZK 2,999 (about Rs. 11,100) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and CZK 3,699 (about Rs. 13,700) for the 8GB+256GB variant.

The Redmi 14C will be available for purchase in Sage Green, Starry Blue, Midnight Black, and Dreamy Purple colour options. The company has not yet disclosed its intentions to introduce the device in India.

The Redmi 14C is a dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) smartphone with the company’s HyperOS skin applied over Android 14. It has a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen (720×1640 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a maximum brightness of 450nits. A MediaTek Helio G81 chipset with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM powers the phone.
