Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia assaulted the country with 119 drones overnight, 97 of which were intercepted. 20 drones were claimed to have struck 11 places around Ukraine. A Russian drone strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia in southeast Ukraine killed one person and injured seven others, emergency officials announced Wednesday morning.

A fire broke out in a three-story residential building with an area of 800 square meters. Ukraine’s state emergency service said on Telegram that rescue workers had to take shelter multiple times due to ongoing enemy strikes. The fire was eventually extinguished in the early hours.Residential buildings, automobiles, and civilian infrastructure were all destroyed in various parts of the city, according to police.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov stated that Russia carried out five strikes on the city, causing damage to a portion of Zaporizhzhia National University.According to Oleh Hryhorov, chief of the Sumy regional military administration, Russian strikes also targeted the Sumy region, killing many animals after a riding school was struck.
