Trump and Harris Engage in a Must-win Battle for Black Voters. Georgia

In the battleground state of Georgia, Vivian Childs, a fervent supporter of Donald Trump, instructed a room full of Republicans on how to win over Black voters. At the former president’s recently opened office in the rural city of Valdosta, Reuters reports that the Black Baptist minister instructed the assembled group of volunteers and campaign staff last month to concentrate on Trump’s economic policies, illegal immigration, and inflation.

She urged voters to tell them what Trump has accomplished for them and that he will bring about the change that America needs. She declared, “We are the party of hope.” “We represent the truth party.” The office was a stately structure with white porches and pillars; there was an air of urgency. According to Trump, Georgia has turned into a must-win state, who believed he had the election secured until Kamala Harris emerged as his opponent in July.

She continued, “We must stop dividing our nation based on our appearance. “I’m telling people to look at President Trump’s record, his policies, and what he’s done for all Americans when they talk to Black people, just like they talk to White people.” Three dozen campaign officials, party chairs, local activist groups, and allies working for Trump and Harris were interviewed by Reuters to gain insight into their respective strategies in the closely contested state that Trump lost to Biden in the 2020 election by less than 12,000 votes.
