The 24th Sharjah International Narrator Forum (SINF), which is run by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), was opened on Thursday by Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
Held from September 19 to 23, University City of Sharjah, the SIH headquarters is the venue for the 24th SINF, which has as its theme “Tales of Birds”.
In his remarks, SIH Chairman Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam emphasised the organization’s unwavering commitment to following His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of Sharjah, in erecting the foundations of genuine regional folk heritage.
Al Musallam emphasised that the Emirate of Sharjah is proud of its Emirati heritage, viewing it as an essential component of the local Emirati identity and a clear indication of the sophistication and pride of the Emirati people in their true origins.
The accomplishments in this area, he continued, demonstrate the unwavering support the Ruler of Sharjah extends to this legacy and are a reflection of His Highness’s sincere goals and desires to realise its distinctiveness and advancement.
