Initiatives for Peace through the Ukrainian war

Russia and Ukraine have been vocal about their desire to put an end to the conflict and stress how important peace is. But the war effort on both sides has stepped up. In the Kursk region, Ukraine has spilt over into Russia, and it has increased its bombing of the Russian side.

An earthquake-sized explosion was the result of the most recent strike. However, Russia has been continuously attacking Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure, including transmission lines, with the goal of depriving some areas of the country of electricity. The increasing confrontations seem to be justified by the desire on both sides to be in a stronger position when talks begin.

It could appear like an odd circumstance. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, declared that his “victory plan” was complete. He does not imply that Ukraine has defeated Russia militarily. In other words, he is in possession of a peace plan and the Ukrainian side has prepared its negotiation points. He thinks that in order for there to be peace, Russia will have to concede to Ukraine’s demands. It appears that he thinks Russia cannot continue the war that it began in February 2022.
