Google layoffs: Sundar Pichai-led company allegedly fires entire Python team

In the last few weeks, Google has let go of a number of its employees. The Sundar Pichai-led corporation has now sacked its entire Python staff for “cheap” labor, according to a recent Free Press Journal story. According to the article, Google intends to lower costs for the corporation by hiring labor that is less expensive outside of the United States.

According to the story, Google is assembling a brand-new team in Munich, Germany. Less than ten people are said to make up the US Python team, which was in charge of managing a sizable portion of Google’s Python ecosystem. Their tasks included creating a typechecker, updating thousands of third-party packages, and keeping Google’s version of Python stable.

For those who are unaware, Business Insider recently disclosed that Google has reduced staff in both its finance and real estate divisions. Google’s revenue cash operations, business services, and treasury departments are among the impacted finance teams. Ruth Porat, Google’s chief financial officer, informed employees via email that part of the reorganization included extending growth to Bangalore, Mexico City, and Dublin.

Furthermore, in January, Google laid off hundreds of employees from a variety of departments, including its hardware, engineering, and assistant teams as it increased investment and developed its artificial intelligence product.
