Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi offered her thoughts as we celebrate the 53rd Eid Al Etihad: “December 2nd is more than just a date; it’s a profound reminder of the journey that shaped the United Arab Emirates.” Eid Al Etihad commemorates the momentous occasion bringing our country together yearly. In the United Arab Emirates, however, every day is a celebration—of accomplishments that go beyond significant events and of principles that encourage communities to believe in their mission, acknowledge their influence, and make significant contributions to the development of their society. Eid Al Etihad is more than just a historical occasion; it is a national identity and a guiding principle that serves as the foundation for our goals and progress.
She also emphasized: “One of our greatest treasures is the legacy of our founding fathers, which has been preserved and enhanced by our astute leadership. It has given us the insight and foresight to strive for greatness while reaffirming that culture is a universal virtue that binds all people together, not just a community’s identity. Investing in culture through publishing, translation, art, and literature opens up new channels for intercultural communication and understanding. These initiatives aid in establishing the values of fairness, empathy, and humanity at the center of our international relations.
