Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican representative, is reiterating her demands that all Epstein papers be made public after US President Donald Trump referred to her as a “traitor” and declared that he no longer supports her. Greene told host Dana Bash on Sunday’s episode of CNN’s State of the Union that although she continues to support the president, she disagrees with his attempts to conceal the Epstein papers.
She claimed that Trump’s attacks on her are endangering her safety in addition to sustaining toxic political in-fighting. He called me an envoy, and that is so very insulting, and those are the types of words used that can radicalize people toward me and put my life in danger,” stated Greene.
Greene told CNN that the Epstein files have “all come down to the Epstein files, even though Trump’s article makes no mention of them. In an interview with ABC News on Sunday, Republican Representative Thomas Massie stated that up to 100 GOP members could vote in favor of the House’s planned vote this week on whether or not to make the files public.
The bill, known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, aims to force the Justice Department to make public all unclassified conversations, records, papers, and investigative materials associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
