The Indonesian Business Council has been established, according to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce (DCC), one of the three chambers that function under Dubai Chambers. The new council’s introduction aims to strengthen cooperation between the business community in Indonesia and Dubai, promote new business prospects, and improve trade and investment partnerships. With the creation, there are now 59 Business Councils functioning under the chamber’s auspices.

The establishment of the Indonesian Business Council is indicative of Dubai’s increasing allure for Indonesian investors and companies. Strong economic relations between the two markets are demonstrated by the fact that non-oil bilateral commerce between Dubai and Indonesia exceeded Dhs10 billion in the first nine months of 2024. By the end of 2024, there will be 160 Indonesian companies listed as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, an increase of 60% from the previous year.

The offices of Dubai Chambers recently hosted the Indonesian Business Council’s inaugural annual general meeting. In addition to exchanging knowledge and insightful market information, members talked about improving cooperation, planning bilateral business events, and investigating new prospects.
