The most recent crash test results for the 2025 China New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) were made public by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC). With its cutting-edge safety features, the EXEED ET became the first mid-size electric SUV in the world to get the esteemed five-star certification from the C-NCAP assessment.
Through more stringent testing procedures, the China Automotive Technology & Research Center’s (CATARC) C-NCAP criteria have been updated to conform to international safety standards. Middle Eastern road conditions and user demands, such as high-speed driving patterns, a family-oriented user base, and a priority for child and female passenger safety, were crucial to ET model’s R&D process from the very beginning. As EXEED’s strategic market, these factors were considered when optimizing the restraint systems and adding structural reinforcements.
In C-NCAP testing, the EXEED ET ranked top among mid-to-large pure electric SUVs with an occupant protection score of 91.28%. It showed remarkable structural integrity under the more stringent 2024 regulations, which included higher frontal collision speeds (55 km/h) and side-impact speeds (60 km/h). All of its doors worked after the collision, its A/B pillars were still in place, and there was little cabin intrusion. The exact deployment of airbags, active seat belts, and improved undercarriage safety further proved its all-scenario passive safety characteristics.
