In their second Champions Trophy group encounter in Dubai, India easily chased down 241 to continue their dominant six-wicket triumph over arch-rival Pakistan in ICC events. Following some recent lacklustre performances, star batsman Virat Kohli took front stage with an outstanding century. Kohli was in excellent form and quick between the wickets, helping India win this crucial match. India won the competition for the second time in a row with 7.3 overs remaining, led by Shreyas Iyer, who got his 21st ODI fifty off 63 balls.

The captain of Pakistan, Muhammad Rizwan, chose to bat after winning the toss in this thrilling match against the Men in Blue. But with consecutive defeats, the host country is struggling to remain in the competition.

At the much awaited Group A match at the 25,000-seat Dubai International Stadium, India won the exciting match in front of a crowded audience. Due to political tensions, India declined to tour Pakistan and is now playing all of its matches in Dubai.

Additionally, just three batsmen in one-day international history have scored more than 14,000 runs, including Virat Kohli. With 13,985 runs in 298 ODIs going into the contest, the 36-year-old hit the milestone with a smooth stroke through the covers off pace bowler Haris Rauf.
