Later this year, Apple is anticipated to release its four-model iPhone 16 series. While a redesign is rumoured for the standard iPhone 16 models, the top-tier Pro models are anticipated to have multiple enhancements in important areas like performance and charging speeds. According to a recent Chinese social media rumour, Apple might increase the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max’s battery capacity.

A post by user Instant Digital on the Chinese social media site Weibo (translated from Chinese) claims that improvements in battery life are anticipated for both iPhone 16 Pro models. The top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 4,676mAh battery, although the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a 3,577mAh battery.

iPhone 16 Pro models are also speculated to pack faster charging speeds, according to a report. Apple has capped the charging speed across its entire iPhone 15 lineup at 20W. Using a compatible Apple-certified 20W or higher power adapter, all variants in the iPhone 15 lineup are claimed to charge up to 50 percent within 30 minutes.
