As negotiations to end the conflict have stagnated, US President Donald Trump has cautioned Iran that the “clock is ticking”He said on his Truth Social platform, “They better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them.TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

According to the Times of Israel, which cited Netanyahu’s office, the message was delivered during the president’s Sunday conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Iranian media, however, said that the US has not responded to Tehran’s most recent overtures to end the dispute with any real concessions.

An “impasse in the negotiations” would result from Washington’s refusal to make concessions, according to the semi-official Mehr news agency. Just before the ceasefire was declared in early April, Trump said that a “whole civilization” would perish unless Iran agreed to a deal to stop the conflict.

The president rejected Tehran’s demands, calling them “totally unacceptable,” and warning earlier this week that the truce was on “massive life support. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Esmail Baghaei said they were “generous” and “responsible.
