The US FAA Has Approved The SpaceX Falcon 9 For Monday’s Mission

The US FAA has Approved the SpaceX Falcon 9 for Monday's Mission

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration announced on Sunday that SpaceX’s reliable Falcon 9 rocket can resume flying for a mission scheduled for Monday to launch the European Space Agency’s Hera spacecraft from Florida.

In recent weeks, Elon Musk’s business has been in a public dispute with the FAA. On Sunday, it announced that it is scheduling the liftoff from Cape Canaveral for 10:52 a.m. ET (1452 GMT).

The FAA announced on Sunday that the SpaceX Falcon 9 aircraft is only permitted to fly again for the Hera mission, which is set to take off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on October 7

If the accident that occurred with the Crew-9 mission recurs, the agency stated that it has “decided that the lack of a second stage reentry for this mission adequately mitigates the primary risk to the public.”

On September 30, the FAA ordered SpaceX to investigate why the Falcon 9’s second stage failed following a NASA astronaut mission. This caused the launch vehicle to be grounded for the third time in three months. The booster fell into a section of the Pacific Ocean that was not within the FAA-approved safety zone for the mission.
