World Food India 2024: Chirag Paswan and Ravneet Singh Introduce Digital Platforms

The official World Food India 2024 website and mobile application have been launched, with pride, by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. An important step toward the preparation of the third edition of this premier event was taken when the initiative was launched by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan and Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Railways Ravneet Singh.

The largest food event in the country, World Food India aims to promote partnerships and collaborations between Indian and international food industry players. With participation from 1,208 exhibitors, 715 international buyers from 90 countries, 24 states, and 75,000 attendees, the previous edition, World Food India 2023, was a huge success. The event included roundtable discussions, 47 thematic sessions, over 16,000 B2B and B2G meetings, and Memorandum of Understanding.

In order to provide participants with a comprehensive platform to access information, register for events, and stay informed about all activities leading up to and during World Food India 2024, a newly launched website and mobile application have been developed.

Chirag Paswan emphasized in his keynote speech the critical role that the food processing industry plays in mitigating agricultural waste, encouraging value addition, guaranteeing food security, and supporting the supply chain from farm to fork. Paswan emphasized the focus on accomplishing the objectives of Atma Nirbhar (self-reliant) and Viksit Bharat (inclusive development of the value chain in the food and related sectors), stressing the Government of India.
