YouTube will allow Indian Producers to make Money by Tagging Things on Myntra and Flipkart

In order to enable Indian content creators to tag products from brands other than their own in their films for their audience to buy, YouTube announced a partnership with e-commerce platforms Flipkart and Myntra. Up until now, YouTube has only let Indian producers to link their online stores to their channels in order to sell their own goods. This new product is part of the recently announced YouTube Shopping affiliate program, which is only available to a limited number of YouTubers nationwide.

As of right now, we can tell that Indians are watching both short and long films, as well as watching product review videos and seeking shopping tips on YouTube. YouTube Shopping’s vice president, Travis Katz, stated during a press conference on Friday, October 25.

According to the business, which cited the India e-Conomy research, over 65% of users in India’s metro areas and 85% of users in tier-2 cities had greater faith in YouTube producers than in traditional celebrities.

Creators who qualify for the functionality can also tag products in shorts and pin them during livestreams. Additionally, they can tag things in their films that are already available on the marketplace.
