In his first speech to the UN General Assembly since 2020, US President Donald Trump cautioned Europe Tuesday that undocumented migration is “destroying its countries and destroying your heritage.”
Trump referred to immigration and climate change policy as a “double-tailed monster” that is destroying the European continent. He was especially severe in his denunciation of what he called the unmitigated immigration disaster.
Your nation will crumble if you don’t take action against strangers and people you don’t share any characteristics with,” Trump declared. Despite being the president of the United States, I am concerned about Europe. I have a deep affection for Europe and its citizens. And I detest seeing that double-tailed monster that obliterates everything in its path, ravaged by immigration and energy.
European nations have tightened their borders and limitations on third-country nationals’ access to refuge in recent years. Additionally, the European Union is implementing a unified accord on migration and asylum, which will enforce more stringent regulations within the Schengen area.
In its September migration factsheet released Tuesday, the European Commission stated that, according on Frontex statistics, there were 25% fewer irregular crossings of external EU borders in 2024 than the year before.
