Although AI is still developing, just a few early uses—such as chatbot-style conversations and image creation in response to text prompts—captivated the public. These elements alone contributed to the rapid rise in popularity of ChatGPT and Midjourney. One of our favourite AI apps for Android is Google, which now has a number of deep AI connections in its apps and a chatbot assistant called Gemini that can also manage image generation. Recently, the corporation invested in Gemini’s image-creation capabilities.

After Google wrapped up Imagen 3 at I/O earlier this year, Pixel Studio and other apps have begun using the tool in the background. Users can instruct the AI to create photos, and after several rounds, they can selectively improve the final product. The software was restricted to the most recent Pixel 9 series, but it appears to function effectively with photos of individuals. Imagen 3 is also accessible through the Gemini service, even on the free tier, according to a recent online visit.

For the past few months, Google has used the AI Test Kitchen to test Imagen 3 on Gemini. We are seeing a pop-up on Gemini about the company’s decision to make these image generating capabilities available to all customers after a few months of testing. While the Pixel Studio app transformed your prompt’s artistic definitions into drop-down choices with options, Google’s deployment on Gemini prioritises more photorealism, detail, and sharper images than the previous model.
