High Representative Kaja Kallas has stated that the United States’ possible military engagement in the wave of attacks between Israel and Iran would “definitely drag” the whole Middle East into a more hazardous and expansive battle. She issued the warning after Donald Trump publicly implied that his nation, which is a strong supporter of Israel, may intervene to put a stop to the fighting.

We have nothing to do with it. We might be able to become engaged. However, we are not currently participating,” Trump stated on Sunday on ABC News. Later, he declared that if Iran were to “touch our troops,” the US would be “gloves off.” Kallas stated that the European Union would not support America’s armed action on Tuesday.

If the United States becomes engaged, the area will undoubtedly be drawn into a larger conflict. After holding a video conference with the 27 foreign affairs ministers of the EU, Kallas declared in Brussels that “nobody is interested in this.”

She continued by saying, “And from my call with Secretary of State Rubio, he emphasised that it’s also not in their interest to be drawn into this conflict,” alluding to her discussion with her US counterpart on Monday.

Because the risks of escalation and spillover effects are too high, we are continuously working to end this conflict. Additionally, there is a chance of miscalculation, which is intensifying the confrontation.
