The South Korean National Intelligence Agency briefed lawmakers on North Korean soldier deployment in the conflict in Ukraine. The spy service claims that 3,000 North Korean soldiers receive weather-acclimatization training in Russia.

The outlet said North Korea has pledged to send 10,000 troops to the front line in Ukraine. Pyongyang rejected the deployment as “groundless” and denied that it had occurred. However, Moscow said it will strengthen its defence relations with North Korea. US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin discussed the North Korean soldier deployment on the Ukrainian front while he was in Rome. According to Austin, this suggested that the Russian army was experiencing stress. The United States, European members, and supporters of Ukraine.

Although the West wants Moscow’s soldiers to be driven out of Ukraine, it does not want to be perceived as driving Russia to the brink. Key eastern regions of Ukraine, including the Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014, are believed to be under Russian authority.

The two continuing hostilities, one in Gaza and one in Ukraine, are expected to be discussed at the two-day BRICS summit that Russia is hosting in Kazan. The joint statement released on Thursday will also acknowledge the two wars.

China and India are attempting to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to accept a ceasefire. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed Putin that India wants peace between Russia and Ukraine and an end to the war.
