The founder director of Allen Career Institute, Rajesh Maheshwari, has admitted that fewer students are being admitted to Kota-based universities this year.
According to a note that Maheshwari sent to educators that Entrackr was able to view, the number of admissions this year has decreased by almost 31% from last year. On the other hand, he blamed the decline on “disinformation” (a Hindi translation) against Kota.
According to Maheshwari, there have only been 46,000 medical quota admissions, a decrease of almost 33% from the prior year. Comparably, fewer than 24,000 admissions have been made in the IIT category as opposed to 33,000 in the previous year.
Less than 80,000 people were admitted overall this year, down from 115,000 the previous year, he continued. Rajasthani city Kota has developed into a major hub for students nationwide getting ready for competitive exams like medical entrance exams or IIT. Organizations such as Allen have played a leading role in making the city a center for education. The estimated value of the coaching sector is Rs 6,000 crore.
