Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Monitoring and Control Center, shared a video of an accident resulting from a driver’s diversion from the road and lack of focus during a sudden traffic stop as part of the Path of Safety 2 campaign.

They cautioned drivers about the risks of distraction from using their phones to make calls, snap pictures, surf social media and the internet, and engage in other activities that could cause major traffic accidents.

Together with the Monitoring and Control Center, Abu Dhabi Police shared a video of an accident resulting from a driver’s diversion from the road and lack of focus at a sudden traffic stop as part of the Path of Safety 2 campaign.

They alerted motorists to the risks of distraction caused by using a phone to make calls, snap pictures, surf social media and the internet, and engage in other activities that could result in severe injuries.

According to Abu Dhabi Police, a driver who is distracted from the road in any way faces a punishment of Dhs800 and four black points.
