Data Centre Economy Growth is Envisioned by Digital Dubai

Digital Dubai has started putting the Strategic Vision for the Data Centre Economy in Dubai into practice by working with its partners in the public and private sectors. The Executive Council had earlier approved the vision to solidify the emirate’s standing as a model future economy supported by cutting-edge technologies.

This is also in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 goals, which seek to use digital innovation to increase Dubai’s economy’s productivity by 50%.

Digital Dubai has carried out a realistic and scientific analysis of the current state of affairs. The analysis suggests that there are significant prospects for cooperation among the involved parties to attract and establish potential artificial intelligence data centres, thereby elevating Dubai’s appeal as a location for such investments.

According to a study by Digital Dubai, implementing the strategic vision for AI-backed data centres will increase added value to Dhs14.3 billion by 2028 and help to generate additional employment opportunities in the data center-related digital economy.

Adopting this strategic vision will improve Dubai’s preparedness for Web 3.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things, Smart cities, and the Metaverse. Additionally, it will help to fortify alliances with other industries in fields like artificial intelligence that is sustainable.
