ESPN, ABC, and other Disney networks are no longer available to YouTube TV subscribers as the two firms are having trouble negotiating a license agreement. Disney claimed that the online pay-TV service, which is owned by the computer behemoth Google and is exclusively accessible in the United States, has declined to pay reasonable prices for the material, which also includes the Disney channel and National Geographic.

Disadvantage our members while benefiting Disney’s own live TV products” is how YouTube TV described the proposed terms from Disney. Just before midnight on Thursday, the deadline for reaching a new agreement, the stations disappeared from YouTube TV following contentious negotiations. Approximately 10 million subscribers are impacted by the blackout.

YouTube TV stated that it would give users a $20 credit if Disney channels were stopped for a “extend period of time”. Among the largest online TV platforms in the United States are YouTube and Hulu, which Disney owns. Their stalemate comes after YouTube and other media giants had equally heated discussions this year and threatened to restrict the episodes that YouTube TV users may see.
