Following a meeting of her party’s MPs in Le Touquet (Pas-de-Calais) on Saturday, the far-right contender for 2027 is resuming her campaign in Hénin-Beaumont. According to a study conducted on September 8 and 9 by OpinionWay for Les Échos, she leads the polls with 34% of first-round voting intentions in every scenario.

However, a number of incidents have occurred over the past few weeks, including the controversy surrounding aid to Ukraine and the release of a video in which a police officer and RN member makes racist, sexist, and conspiracist remarks, all against the backdrop of purported conflict with the party’s president, Jordan Bardella.

The French daily Libération claims that on August 31, the National Rally president declared, “It’s her or me,” and Marine Le Pen declared her intention to give her niece, Marion Maréchal, a larger role in the campaign, beginning with a speech at the National Rally’s parliamentary gathering in Le Touquet.
